During my time in college, when I first began my journey as an actor, I had little understanding of what I was getting myself into or how profound the craft of acting truly is. However, Ryan played a pivotal role in making me feel welcomed and at ease. He not only helped me appreciate the depth and importance of the craft but also guided me in clarifying my own aspirations within in.
Ryan's teaching extended beyhond technical instruction - he offered thoughtful, personalized advice to each student, encouraging us to explore and define the kind of actor we wanted to become. His support was instrumental in helping me build confidence in my ablitites, a mindset I've carried with me throughout my time in drama school.

Ryan was a great teacher. He listened, helped and cared for his students. He was the first person to notice I had more interest/worry in props and how the show would get done, then by memorising my lines. He knew my path was stage management, and he made sure to explain and expand his knowledge. If it wasn’t for him, I would have never gone to university. He asked the board to analise my grades a bit differently, and I operated the last show as a stage manager, whilst I helped him sort everything for the show. He didn’t have to, but he wanted to make me feel, how it was supposed to be felt, being in charge of a show and calling it, so I wouldn’t have any doubts of the path I was going to take next. Ryan makes sure he listens to all students and he understands that not all are the same and not all learn the exact same way as others, and he adapts how he teaches depending on the students he gets.

In Year 13, Ryan took the initiative to speak with me about my future plans, and once I had a clearer sense of direction, he helped me identify the drama schools and courses that best matched my goals whilst also providing detailed information about each institution, therefore ensuring I made an informed choice.
He guided me through each stage of the application process, including interview preparation, which meant I felt confident and prepared. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to present myself effectively and I ended up securing a place at my dream drama school.

When I arrived in the UK from Madrid I was full of dreams but unsure of the path ahead. Coming from a different country I didn't fully understand what drama schools here were looking for, or what it truly meant to be a great actor. Ryan was one of the first people who saw potential in me and didn't hesitate to guide me. We met in college and from the beginning he supported me, not just technically, but emotionally. He helped me shape my mindset, improve my craft and understand the importance of authenticity, disapline and presence. Thanks to Ryan I began to see acting not just as a talent, but as a lifestyle - something that demanded full commitment and heart. His belief in me gave me the courage to apply to drama school and to keep showing upeven when it got tough. He was a key part of my journey and I'll always be grateful for that and I ended up being in one of the top 10 best drama schools in UK, Rose Bruford.
